My cousin talked me into going back to the psychic/palmist/tarot reader that we went to last year and got nothing right with me. I tried to tell her to wait until a day I was off work, but noooo it had to be soon. I told her to get the appt. as late as they would see us.... 5 p.m. Fine, I get off work at 2:30, I can run home, grab a shower, put on makeup and be ready to go by 3:30. Be here by then....it's now 4:30 and I'm still waiting on her late ass!! LOL I told the hubby I should've told Janet to be here by 3, that way she'd be here at 4 or 4:30 at the latest. She called me at 3:30 and asked if I had to get a shower...uh....already showered, hair dried, make-up on and dressed, waiting on her. Hmph. She was almost ready at that point...and just called to let me know she was behind a tractor on a 2 lane road. *blank look* Apparently it was okay with the psychic/etc. for us to be a little late...if she only knew.
Tardiness is one of my biggest pet peeves and just irritates the hell out of me!
Shane's cousin that got engaged a couple of weeks ago (and is sporting a $27,000 engagement ring...yep, no typo...$27,000 for that 3 karat sucker) is having an engagement party next Saturday night at 7 pm at some...place. I don't know if we're going or not...I don't really wanna, so we'll see.
Ugh, I hate to be kept waiting and even more to keep others waiting.

Today was one of my brothers-in-law's birthday. It's Shane's older half-brother and the mil invited us to her house for a little lunch and cake and icecream for Chris. Shane and I went, Heath stopped to pick up Chris since he can't drive and Chris' roomate Joe. My sis-in-law Megan missed yet another family thing b/c of her back. Seems she has a bulging disc and just doesn't feel that well. Funny that she felt fine to go to B'ham Friday for a conference for vets. Whatever, I'm wondering if she's not realizing that she keeps alienating everyone in the family and that makes it harder for us to like her. I've tried everything I know of to be nice to the woman, but it's like she just doesn't want anyone to get to know her. She has no social skills and as smart as she is, has no personality at all. I give up.
Funny thing, though, my mother in law is dating. Her first husband. It's been 14 months since my father in law passed away. I was wondering if she was going to date again, she's relatively young (in her fifties), and no reason for her to sit at home by herself. She was going to invite the guy there today, but wasn't sure how Shane and Heath were going to react to it. Shane already had a feeling she was dating, but wanted to ask her about it without everyone around. But she beat him to the punch. I'm happy for her. I think it's a good thing. I just don't know why her marriage to Dana broke up to begin with.
Okay, I'm out to do something.

Two of my fanfic stories are up for awards. Yes, I realize I'm so oldschool with it, but hey...you can't go wrong with that, right? Anyway, I apparently have multiple personalities so there are two different writers for the stories. Take your pick with either "In Another Life" (which should be by FantaCwriter. I have no idea how it got screwed up and got m real name) or "Somewhere In The Middle" by Sugar Magnolia.
